Point72, L.P. has an opening for a Sector Analyst, MI-Data Research in New York, New York. This position is hybrid; may work from home up to 2 days per week, as permitted.

Deliver comprehensive and error-free data to systematic Portfolio Managers. Analyze financial datasets and prepare reports for investment teams. Create derived data content and data ingestion pipelines. Identify potential data sources. Engage with vendors to understand characteristics of datasets. Define and automate qualitative data checks. Assist with data questions and requests from investment teams. Create and maintain internal documentation on datasets. 

Must possess at least a master's degree in Financial Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field and at least three years of experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist or in a related role at a financial services institution. Must also possess at least three years of experience with all of the following: Python and SQL; designing, building, and automating data pipelines; developing ETL processes for data ingestion; automating data cleansing; using and designing alerting infrastructure; building and maintaining data dashboards; and with data quality validation and anomaly detection.
